Avy Packard at home in Tacoma, Washington

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Avy has an MFA from Southern New Hampshire University. Her work has appeared on Random Sample Review (2016) and Stretch Marks on my Sanity (2002). She is currently working on her first novel.

What I Write:  I’m drawn to the complicated and sometimes dark side of human nature, not necessarily to excuse or explain away, but to broaden my understanding of how a worst case scenario has manifested, and how it always, always began with one seed of thought that became damaged and was allowed to develop unchecked.
